The Friends of the Western Library is for all those who would like to support the Western Library, its Garden, to help create a safe inclusive space for all and surrounding Community

Tucked away on Hull's Boulevard is the Western Library and its community garden.

Maintained by local people for local people, it offers a place for coming together or quiet reflection.

The area was also where famous aviator Amy Johnson grew up and attended school, her family having large links to Hessle roads fishing industry.

The site features information on the area's history.

The Mermaid familiar to many from it's time at Fletchers fountain now resides in the Friends of the Western Library Garden on Hull's historic Boulevard.
