**TRAFFIC INFORMATION FOR THE CHESHIRE SHOW**
CHESHIRE EAST BOROUGH COUNCIL, ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984. (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC IN RELATION TO THE ROYAL CHESHIRE SHOW, PICKMERE / TABLEY) ORDERS 2026
Notice is hereby given, pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, that the Cheshire East Borough Council has made orders, containing the following prohibitions and restrictions, to enable the management of volumes of traffic arising from the Royal Cheshire Show and thereby avoid the likelihood of danger to the public:
1. A speed limit of 40mph to be in force on the A556 Chester Road, Tabley/Plumley from its junction with the M6 Motorway at Junction 19 to the Cheshire West and Chester Council administrative boundary between 00:00 on Tuesday 16 June to 00:00 on Wednesday 17 June 2026
2. The prohibition of all traffic on Flittogate Lane, Pickmere for its full extent between 00:00 on Tuesday 16 June to 00:00 on Wednesday 17 June 2026.
3. A one way road closure will be in force on School Lane, Pickmere east bound and west bound between 00:00 on Tuesday 16 June to 00:00 on Wednesday 17 June 2026.
4. The prohibition of waiting on the following lengths of roads between 00:00 on Tuesday 16 June to 00:00 on Wednesday 17 June 2026
* School Lane, Pickmere – for its full extent
* Budworth Road, Tabley/Aston by Budworth – from the junction of * Pickmere Lane to the junction of Frog Lane
* Frog Lane, Aston by Budworth - from the junction of School Lane to the junction of Budworth Road
5. Prohibition of turning right on the following lengths of roads between 00:00 on Tuesday 16 June to 00:00 on Wednesday 17 June 2026 Chester Road, Tabley Inferior, turning into Tabley Hill Lane.
6. The prohibition of layby closure on A556 Chester Road, Tabley/Plumley, between 00:00 on Tuesday 16 June to 00:00 on Wednesday 17 June 2026
The alternative routes for traffic will be as directed by signs/traffic management operatives on site.
