A bit of a sad update: the Lego submission has been put on hold for a wee bit. Lego kept sending back my submission saying there was a problem with the images I was using. But their language was vague and i thought they thought I may have stolen someones images so I made it very clear i had hired a image designer to do the pics since i did not have those skills and evidently after some delayed back back and forth with Lego, they finally clarified the point that since I did not do them images personally, they would not accept it . (stupid, right?) BUT they should be allowing me to re-submit, its just gonna take me some time to either build one myself down in my personal basement "Lego Land" or i need to get proficient with the Lego Brick design program i just downloaded , but its not easy and I'm to old to pick it up quick and even my 11 year old says its difficult, so maybe it will be the real legos after all. So, sorry to get everyone revved up and then now have to wait a bit longer.

BUT I HAVENT GIVEN UP YET !

Another slightly less fast update:
So Lego kicked back my submission twice now with concerns about my rights to the pictures i submitted, which was wierd because i paid someone to make them for me, so I assumed i was free and clear owning those pics, right? Turns out i got scammed ! ( lower case s in that scammed fortunately) . so i had hired a digital designer from the website Fiverr where you can hire creative talent for lots of different things. anyways long story short the guy i hired hired another guy to make the pics and then flipped it and sold it to me. Big no no. anyways Fiverr customer service has been awesome and resolved the issue VERY fast. but now i have no rights to those pics except maybe thru the original artist whom i was able to track down and im currently trying to hire him. SO a little more delay while i obtain some truly original new pics to go with my submission!

This is all gonna make a great story someday ! Lets hope its all worth it.

Stay tuned folks. i am committed to getting this thru the process, even if we dont win the race ! thanks for following along

Super quick update: Lego got back to me and made me make some "fine print" corrections, primarily text corrections about the pictures and who created them and the rights to them. made the corrections and now i wait for approval again. I can see the page for it is up on the site, but its still "awaiting approval" . the waiting is killing me!

Well, it is done! EDC entry submitted. Now we wait for the Initial Lego review , then when they put it on the site its time to get VOTING...... Calling the Clan to be ready ! while you wait, here is the final "rough draft" pic I used for the submission. Its not perfect, but it will get the job done for the submission and then Lego can make it perfect if we survive the submission process !

So, ive been quiet while waiting for a new pic for the official submission. Since Lego does not allow AI-generated pics for the entry, I had to find a digital Lego designer and commission her to make me a design to use for my submission. this is the first ROUGH DRAFT. details are not perfect and I have already got her going on fixing some stuff, but I'm curious what do you think of the overall "Look" of it? I think its very clean and once we fix the bridge and a couple other little things, it will work just great. Thoughts?
