Temporary Traffic Regulation Order

A Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (TTRO) is to be made for the following

location: Hinckley Road, Leicester Forest East between the junction Beggers Lane to

Desford Road, Thurlaston. (see weblink or scan QR code).

The purpose of the TTRO is to allow Leicestershire County Council and their contractors to undertake various highways maintenance works.

The TTRO will incorporate a temporary road closure and parking restriction.

The duration of the restriction is not anticipated to exceed a period of 3 nights between 8pm – 6am commencing on the 27th October 2026.

A Press Release will be issued to confirm these details pproximately two weeks prior to the works commencing.

The Parish Council has received a petition 'Stop the Leicester City Land Grab' which opposes the expansion of Leicester City Council's boundaries to absorb town and villages that are currently part of Leicestershire.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN

That due to the resignation of Cllr Colin Wells a casual vacancy has arisen in the Office of Councillor for the Parish Council.

If by 10 September (14 days after the date of this notice, excluding dies non) a request for an election to fill said vacancy is made in writing to the Returning Officer at the address below by TEN electors for the said Parish, an election will be held to fill the said vacancy, otherwise the vacancy will be filled by co-option.

If an election is called, it will take place not later than 13 November (60 days from the date of the Notice of Vacancy, excluding Dies Non).

2pm-6pm - Family activities including bouncy castle inflatable darts and face-painting (all free)

2.30pm-3.30pm – Ratby Brass Band

4pm-6pm – High Pressure (an excellent covers band)

6.30pm-8.30pm – Tribute acts, including: Ariana Grande, Dua Lipa, Taylor Swift, Chappell Roan and Sabrina Carpenter
