It is with tremendous sadness that we have to inform you that our beloved friend Margaret has passed away peacefully.

The Queen of Cakes and Master of Roman Recipes will be missed more than words can say. Reunited with her husband, and partner in crime, Peter.

This Saturday we’ll be joining lots of other local heritage organisations at the Celebration of Heritage Event being held in the Students Union, Percy Gee, University of Leicester! 🙌🏻🤩

We’ll be showcasing fantastic finds related to Food, Gladiators and Archaeology and of course have our dig box at the ready! 🏺🍕🍽️

We'll will be joining lots of other local heritage organisations at the FREE University of Leicester's Heritage Hub Celebration of Heritage event on Saturday 21st March!

Bring your archaeological finds in for help with identification.

If you have found an object which is made of metal, stone or ceramic, our local Finds Liaison Officer will be more than happy to take a look and give you more information. Whether you are a seasoned metal detectorist, or you have made a chance find in your garden, we may be able to help identify your archaeological discoveries.

This FREE event will take place in the museum’s café area. No ticket is needed!
