Members of the first, pilot, Leicester Poetry Committee, or their group representative, together with representatives of some of the many Poetry Groups in Leicester will be taking part in the 3 minute Open Mic and introduction
opportunity before the Presentation to and Headline Poetry of Mr. Shay.

We are the Headliners are hosting a Poetry and Spoken word Showcase and Presentation Event, with Mr Shay as Headliner finale Poet to celebrate his First Anniversary as Poet Laureate of Leicester, 2026-2027, chosen by the pilot Poetry Committee 2025-26, As free event tickets are limited, so please apply in person, by phone, or on line via Leicester Libraries web site. To be held at Leicester Central Library 1.30pm-4.30pm on Saturday 26th September 2026.
