Isn’t it great when social care staff are able to learn about stroke? These were just some of the questions I was asked recently:
How stroke can affect someone physically and cognitively.
Mental capacity and communication.
Can you push people?
Learn about aids and adaptations.
Signs of stroke in order to act quickly.
Recovery stages.
Refresher.
Communication, why someone can sing but not speak.
Learn about different parts of the brain that can be affected.

And that’s exactly what I taught them!
