Residents may be aware that Central Beds Council has been considering introducing no stopping at the school entrance and no waiting at any time on part of Hurst Grove. At its meeting on 26th May the Traffic Management Committee decide to defer any changes to allow further consultation to take place. We have no further information at this stage, but will update as we receive updates.

East West Rail Consultation Reminder

The latest EWR consultation contains some very worrying proposals for the village. Some concerned residents have produced and delivered this leaflet which sums the concerns up very well, and suggests actions you can take. The Parish Council fully supports this leaflet, and thanks the residents who have produced it . REMEMBER you have until 9 June to give feedback to EWR. Full details in the leaflet.

ANOTHER ROAD CLOSURE
Hot on the heels of the closure of the top end of High St comes another for August at the other end by Church St. The good news is that we should see some benefit from this one as it's for road surface patching. This is proposed for 13th August from 0800 to 1800. Details below.

High St Road Closure – Advance notice
Central Beds Council has notified your Parish Council of a proposed road closure on the High St, between Millers Lane and Boughton End Lane to enable East West rail to build passing bays so they can funnel their construction traffic through the village. Details and diversion route below.

Closure is planned from 26th July to 7th August between 0900 and 1500.
