As the World Cup approaches, a new Lincolnshire campaign aims to highlight the vital help available for those experiencing domestic abuse and encourages those using harmful behaviours to seek help to change.

Evidence shows that domestic abuse incidents can increase during major international football tournaments, and we know it can be a time when people might feel more on edge. This campaign aims to help reach those people.

10,000 coasters will be distributed across Lincolnshire pubs, clubs and venues which will signpost to both the Lincolnshire Domestic Abuse Specialist Service (LDASS) and to Respect, the national charity supporting people who want to change harmful patterns in their relationships.

If you feel scared, controlled, isolated, threatened or intimidated in your relationship, this is abuse.

📞 Call Lincolnshire Police on 101 (999 in an emergency)
💻 Visit https://www.ldass.org.uk/
📞 Or call the National Domestic Abuse Helpline on 0808 2000 247 at any time.

FREE webinar for professionals – From the Margins to the Room: Engaging Fathers in Child Safeguarding Practice

Too often, safeguarding practice is built around mothers. Fathers are often assessed purely as risks, or simply not assessed at all; they are left out of plans, not invited to reviews, and rarely supported to engage. Yet we know that when fathers are meaningfully engaged, outcomes for children improve.

Designed for all professionals that engage with families, this webinar draws on the latest research with diverse fathers and professionals to explore what gets in the way of father inclusion in safeguarding contexts, and what practitioners, managers and organisations can do differently to unlock the benefits of father involvement for children, women and men themselves.

This session, tailored towards professionals, will be hosted on Teams on Wednesday 1st July, 1:30-2:30pm.
