Get ready for a night full of fun, head-scratching questions.

Tickets are £5 per person with entry to our game of Heads or Tails included -- which has a £20 cash prize up for grabs! 🎟️

Celebrate Lincoln Free Walking Tour's 5th Anniversary at the Wig & Mitre on September 25th!

Some of you already know, but we will be celebrating the 5th anniversary of Lincoln Free Walking Tour on the 25th September 🎉

Can you believe it has been five years since Matt and Brant set off on their first walking tour with a group of four people! Since then we achieved loads, brought together a wonderful group of guides, created new tours and worked with many fantastic local people and groups 💛

To celebrate, we are inviting all of you for a drink. Everyone is welcome to join us for a drink at the Wig & Mitre on Steep Hill between 6-8pm on Friday 25th September 🍻

If you fancy joining us, all you need to do is send us a message or an email to [email protected] to RSVP and we will add you to the list. We've booked out the entire first floor of the pub, so there is plenty of space 👍

On the evening there will be a few speeches, cutting of a birthday cake and a charity raffle in aid of LEAP Housing and Support

Patricia, one of our Housing & Support Officers in Lincoln, has recently completed her Level 3 Housing & Property Management qualification, achieving a fantastic Distinction!

We’re incredibly proud of Patricia. This qualification is no easy feat and requires a significant amount of study, hard work and assessment. A huge congratulations to Patricia on this fantastic achievement!

We recently installed a new picnic table at Barlow House in Lincoln.

With the great weather we’ve been enjoying this summer, the picnic table has already been well used and much appreciated by our tenants. It’s been lovely to see people making the most of the new outdoor space and enjoying the sunshine.

We sat down with Abbi, one of our newest recruits in Lincoln, and asked her how she’s been finding things…

Q: What attracted you to the role of Housing Officer?

A: I was drawn to the opportunity to make a real difference in people’s lives. Supporting individuals through challenging times and helping them achieve positive outcomes is something I find incredibly rewarding. The role really aligns with my values of compassion, respect and empowerment, and I enjoy taking a person-centred approach to finding practical solutions.

I’m particularly passionate about building strong relationships with residents and working closely with partner agencies to provide the best possible support. It also offers the chance to continue developing my own skills while being part of a team that is committed to improving the lives of vulnerable people.

Q: Now that you’ve settled into the role, what do you enjoy most about coming to work each day?

A: The best part of the job is knowing that each day brings an opportunity to have a positive impact on someone’s life. No two days are the same, which keeps the role interesting and rewarding. I enjoy meeting new people, building trust, and helping residents navigate some of the challenges they face.

Seeing someone grow in confidence, secure a stable home or take important steps towards greater independence is incredibly fulfilling. I also value the support and teamwork within the organisation, as well as the strong partnerships we have with other agencies. Even on the more demanding days, knowing that I’ve helped someone move forward makes it all worthwhile.
