What a fantastic day Lindfield Village Day was last Saturday the 31st of May 2025. The weather was nice and bright, warm enough for summer attire and not a single drop of the wet stuff!! Lindfield Rural Parish Council had our usual stand, with cuddly prizes, sweets and dog biscuits. Several of our councillors were at our stand, chatting to you all and helping take details for the prize draw. Sarah our deputy clerk and I were there with Lissi the Rough Collie and Alfie the Bearded Collie (both enjoyed all the cuddles they were given by visitors). Councillors answered any questions you put to them and we were visited by many of our residents.
The main prize of a HUGE dog, was won by one of our young LRPC residents, Eloise Ward. You will find a photo of Eloise and her two friends receiving the prize below (from left to right - Clio, Eloise & Mae). Another young resident, Rudy from Scaynes Hill won a toy Springer-poo toy dog. We have one further prize awaiting contact from the winner.
We would like to thank the organisers for putting on such a great event and for all of you who attended. These events give such great sense of community pride and teamwork.

For those of you that visit friend and relatives at Walstead Burial Ground, please take your rubbish home with you if the blue bin is full or won’t fit your rubbish in. If you leave it at the side of the bin it is fly tipping and I won’t be cleaning it up for you. I really cannot understand people who visit their loved ones, yet decide to leave an unsightly mess there!! Santi (clerk to the council)
