*Next Norris Green Community SKIP day*

We have now booked our third community skip day in Norris Green for Thursday 29th October. We are working our way round the whole of Norris Green with this programme. There will be skips accessible to everyone at some point in coming week or months. They are free for everyone to use , you don't need to live on the street it's on to use the skip. If you live on one of these roads or nearby you should also get a letter through your door next week for those not on Facebook or just as a reminder for others.

The 10 skips will be located on or very near to the below (parked cars allowing)

Coleshill Rd, Liverpool L11 3DP
Ranworth Square, Liverpool L11 3DG
Stainburn Ave, Liverpool L11 3DF
Bremhill Rd, Liverpool L11 3DR

Prestbury Rd, Liverpool L11 3EA
Lower House Ln, Liverpool L11 2SQ

Please do make use of the skips and watch out for a date for the November skip day. They will be there from around 8am and tend to get full very quickly so be early if you can.

The most brilliant day in the Park today celebrating the launch of Norris Green Pride in Place. A 20 million Investment in Norris Green from the Government that we can all feed in to and make suggestions on how it should be spent .Thanks to the Programme Manager Helen, Chair Anne Marie and the rest of the board for putting on a great day. It was amazing to see such enthusiasm from everyone who came down.

Special thanks to Norris Green's own Meatball Molly McCann ( a member of the PiP board) for everything she has done inc getting the brilliant team at Central Waste down to help with a litter pick and clean up we did today round Ellergreen,Scargreen and the Strand.

Reminder as we get nearer Winter this grant is still available. See details needed below and email to Kevin if you want to apply.

New fuel grant available for Norris Green residents.

With Autumn and Winter fast approaching and energy costs still far too high Liverpool Labour now has a scheme where anyone struggling can apply for a £250 grant which will go directly as a credit either onto your meter (if you are PAYG) or onto your bill if you pay monthly by direct debit.

Kevin, Lena and Gerard are encouraging anyone who may be eligible to apply for this grant. You do NOT need to be on benefits to apply. ( you just need to be on a low income and struggle with your energy costs)

Information needed is -

Name
Address
Any children in household( just for info you do not need children to apply)
Are you on any benefit( althought you don't need to be for the grant)
Mobile number
Who is your energy supplier ( ie British Gas etc)
What is your account number ( this is NOT you payg top up number it's the account number on your bill or your app)
Is your account PAYG top ups or monthly bills

Once you have collated all this info please email it all through to Councillor Kevin Pilnick and you will be referred for the grant. Please note we do need all the info above to put the grant request through.

**Community Skip Day tomorrow**

As promised the next Norris Green Community Skip day is tomorrow - Thursday 24th September. There will be 10 skips located ( parked cars allowing) in;

Outer Forum
Sedgemooor Road
Norwyn Road
Junction of Colmore and Meyrick Road
Abbotsford Road
Hartland Road
Drakefield Road
Kingsland Crescent
Townsend View

The skips will be there early and they are taken as soon as they are full even if that is 10am so be early if at all possible.

You don't need to use the one on your street. They are for everyone. If this isn't near you there will be another skip day nearer you over the next few weeks and months.

Both the Friends of Norris Green Park and local residents near the Broad Lane entrance have been concerned about continued anti social and dangerous parking near the park entrance. We have funded and arranged installation of new bollards to ensure this can no longer happen. Always let councillors know if you have an issue like this near you we'll be happy to look for a solution.

This grant has been very poplar which is great. We have given out fuel grants totalling over £26,000 since last week!
