SGD Weekly Round-Up 📢📢📢

It has been another productive and positive week for the team, with works continuing in Truro, Cornwall, alongside huge multiple jobs being priced across Manchester. Additional works have also been priced in Weston-super-Mare and Cornwall.

We’re also pleased to confirm that multiple projects have now been agreed for June across Birmingham and Dudley, with the coming weeks shaping up to be extremely busy for the team. Closer to home, we’re delighted to see a project secured by our client Avrenim with Knowsley Council at Stretton Way, another fantastic win and a great project to be involved with.

To top off a brilliant week, we are delighted to have been shortlisted for SME of the Year at the North West Regional Construction Awards, and look forward to the awards evening taking place in July! It’s fantastic recognition for the hard work, dedication, and continued growth of the business.

We are proud to support the Knowsley Wellbeing & Nature Alliance 🌿

At SGD Fire Protection Ltd, we believe that protecting people goes beyond the buildings we work in. That’s why we’re proud to be a founding member of the Knowsley Wellbeing & Nature Alliance which is a collaborative initiative focused on improving health, wellbeing, and access to green spaces across the local community.

Through this commitment, businesses across the region are coming together to fund and support impactful programmes delivered by grow CIC at Bowring Park, turning collective investment into meaningful social change.

As a company rooted in the community, we’re passionate about supporting initiatives that make a real difference to both mental and physical wellbeing. Access to nature and outdoor spaces plays a huge role in creating healthier, more connected communities, and we’re honoured to contribute to something with such lasting impact.

SGD Weekly Round-Up 📢📢📢

It has been a productive and positive week, the team have been carrying out works in Truro, Cornwall, whilst also pricing and confirming multiple additional projects in the region for a new client. Alongside this, surveys have also been completed across Cheshire and Liverpool, with the coming weeks looking extremely busy as multiple projects have now been priced and are currently awaiting confirmed start dates.

Sarah also attended a brilliant Knowsley Chamber event hosted by Sales Geek on Tuesday, which was a fantastic morning of learning, networking, and connecting with other local businesses. On Wednesday, the team held a marketing strategy meeting to define our plans and direction for the coming months ahead.

Also, this week also marked a huge milestone for SGD as we proudly celebrated 4 years in business! What started as a vision has continued to grow into a trusted and respected company within the Passive Fire Protection industry, something that wouldn’t be possible without the hard work of our incredible team, the continued support from our clients, and the relationships we’ve built along the way. We’re extremely proud of how far the business has come in just four years and excited for what the future holds.

We’re thrilled to celebrate four incredible years of growth, commitment, and success 4️⃣

This week, we’ve enjoyed celebrating with our amazing staff and reflecting on everything we’ve achieved over the last year. Today, we marked the occasion with a lovely meal at alongside the team 🥂

From continuing to deliver high-quality fire protection solutions across the UK to strengthening relationships with our valued clients, partners, and suppliers, it’s been another milestone year for SGD 🔥

Over the past 12 months, we’ve also proudly launched the SGD Foundation, allowing us to further support local charities, community initiatives, and grassroots sports that mean so much to us ❤️

This week is National Mental Health Awareness Week.

At SGD Fire Protection Ltd, mental health awareness is something we champion all year round. It’s a commitment that runs through our business, our partnerships, and the work we do within our community every single day.

Earlier this year, we proudly entered into a partnership with Evolving Mindset, pledging to support the organisation over the next three years as they continue delivering vital mental health services across Knowsley.

One of the first major milestones within this partnership has been supporting the launch of the new Youth Counselling Studio in Knowsley, a safe and welcoming space where young people can access confidential counselling, therapeutic programmes, and emotional wellbeing support.

Together, we share a vision of making mental health support more accessible for people of all ages, genders, and backgrounds throughout our local community.

As Shaun Davidson said when the partnership launched:

“Our vision is simple- to help make Knowsley a better place to live by ensuring that no one feels alone in their challenges and that everyone gets the help and support they need.”

Internally and externally, we remain strong advocates for mental health awareness, early intervention, and creating compassionate spaces where people can thrive.

This Mental Health Awareness Week, we encourage everyone to check in with the people around them. A conversation, a little support, or simply listening can make a huge difference.
We believe that creating safer environments goes far beyond fire protection. It also means helping people feel supported, heard, and never alone in their struggles.

SGD Weekly Round-Up 📢📢📢

Another productive and positive week for the SGD team. Our team have been out pricing works completed for both current and new clients, with several projects now scheduled to commence over the coming weeks. It’s great to see the pipeline continuing to strengthen as demand for our services grows.

This week, Sarah had a really positive quarterly review meeting with Compliance Chain, where we looked through our figures and business performance so far this year. Since publishing our first quarter statistics just a few weeks ago, the growth across the business has already increased massively, a fantastic reflection of the momentum the team continues to build daily!

Sarah also met with fellow Knowsley Chamber member Bid Management Services this week. Chris and the team provide brilliant support to businesses, and it was great to spend time discussing opportunities.

It was also exciting to announce this week that SGD have officially been named Drinks Sponsors for the YM Awards taking place in November 2026. We’re looking forward to attending what promises to be a fantastic event and celebrating success across Liverpool’s thriving property and business sectors.
