We at STLTL have had enough of the European Union! Did you know that the EU has been trying to ABOLISH traffic lights like ours?!? If the Eurocrats have their way, they will keep on building new roads that don't need traffic lights, and people will drive straight through Llandovery without stopping. Vote LEAVE tomorrow. We want our country and our lights back!

That was a close one!

We don't know how, but yesterday our campaigning page got hijacked by the local Tory candidate and his accomplices. It was appalling that this site got used for electioneering, and we are glad he got his comeuppance! Thank goodness we have got another five years of a Welsh Government that really knows the value of traffic lights, semi-permanent roadworks and the other vital investment that is Llandovery's lifeblood. We at STLTL love Carwyn and we hope his new transport minister will provide traffic lights for the many, not the few, for a long time to come!

However much we at STLTL love our traffic lights' benefactors at the Welsh Government, we think £100k to run a Twitter feed looks a bit steep, and it is just possible they may be spending slightly too much on it. Here's an idea, WG! Let STLTL run your social media, and we will only charge you half, yes HALF what you're paying at the moment!!! Don't say the lights give nothing back.

Welsh Government vandals have been slashing down the hedge next to our lights, and putting up a fence to annex part of the farmer's field. We do not like this one little bit.

Can the Llandovery lights help bring new tourist revenue? Austria and Holland both recently introduced traffic lights supportive of same-sex relationships. Is it time for our traffic lights to bring the pink pound to Llandovery?

Look at the sort of road you can build for £65,000 a metre. Llandovery is in for a treat, even if we do lose the lights.

Two short lengths of road are about to open at a combined cost of £1bn. How can stretches of motorway barely five miles long be so expensive?

Look at the disgraceful, shabby things that happen in Tory England the other side of the Severn Bridge. Temporary lights not only removed, but removed 3 months too early! Thank goodness for the Welsh Assembly. None of that nonsense here.

Temporary traffic lights which have been in place along the A628 at Tintwistle have been removed 3 months ahead of plan.
