A beautiful sepia sky 🌅 thanks to the Earth, Moon and of course our biggest star 🌟 we all stopped for a moment and watched in wonder (safely of course!)

The Anglesey Astronomical Society will be setting up at Newry beach, Holyhead for the ultimate star gazing event of the year! 🌞 Certified solar glasses available 🕶 😎

This gorgeous little hummingbird moth has been the star of the show here this Summer 🦋🌺 we love to watch it dancing around the flowers 💐 😍

You get a real back to nature feel about the site with each pitch having its own spacious plot surrounded by a wild flower meadow with great sea views and an onsite woodland area. Owners are very friendly and helpful. The shower/toilets are clean and have a great style about them. The addition of the Glamvan is very generous communal space. With fresh produce also available to purchase. We have toured around Cornwall and Wales this summer and I have to say this site is currently at the top of our list to recommend.

Tips for other travellers
Church Bay with its restaurant and sea front cafe is walking distance along the coastal path. There are beaches and coves up and down the coastal path to visit all in walking distance of the site.

With wildfires occurring in many areas across the UK we have taken the decision not to allow any firepits or bbqs next to pitches (for the timebeing!) however we do have an area that's safe for lighting a bbq if needed, please ask on arrival or get in touch for any further info!

Here's some further advice and guidance on keeping safe in the countryside ....
⚠️ The wildfire risk across many areas is now VERY HIGH.
Conditions are exceptionally dry. Just one spark can start a fire that spreads rapidly, threatening people, wildlife, habitats and some of our most precious landscapes.
If you are spending time outdoors:
🚫 Do not light any fires, including campfires
🚫 Do not use disposable or portable barbecues. Pack a picnic instead
🚫 Do not set off fireworks or release sky lanterns
🚭 Extinguish ci******es fully and never discard them on the ground
🗑️ Take all litter home with you
The risk is real. Please take exceptional care and do nothing that could start a fire.
If you see fire or smoke, call 999 immediately. 🔥📞
