Have you noticed how the Blackthorn has been spreading out over the Meadows? The Heritage Area Ranger, Mike, and the Nature Volunteers have made a start at clearing it back. They are having a break in August but will be back in September. Would you like to help? More volunteers are needed to maintain our beautiful meadows and woods.

One of our volunteers has just seen a young girl making an obstacle course in the canal!!!
She was told it is not safe but she ignored this. It's very worrying if more children do this in the school holidays as in places the mud is very thick and they may struggle to get out. Another reason to get water in the canal asp.

A Big thank you to Dave Bowers and the Cuan Wildlife Rescue Centre for rescuing the poor Swans yesterday who were stuck in the mud of that used to be the canal in Llanymynech. They have taken them to one of their lakes to recover. They think they will fly back to Llanymynech next year. 🤞
