🎬 Filmmaking Project – New Dates Announced!
Unity Support Network CIC is excited to continue our Filmmaking Project for young people in Hackney! This fun and creative project gives children and young people the chance to learn all about the world of filmmaking – from storytelling and acting to filming and editing – and produce their very own short film.
📅 Upcoming Sessions:
Monday 27th October 2025 – 1:30 PM to 5:30 PM
Monday 3rd November 2025 – 1:30 PM to 5:30 PM
📍 Location: Charterhouse Road Community Centre, E8 2RE
✨ What Participants Will Gain:
Learn how to develop and share stories that matter
Experience acting, filming, and editing techniques
Work with a professional filmmaker
Collaborate with others to create a finished short film
👧👦 Who Can Join?
Open to all ages of children and young people – no previous experience needed.
🍎 Refreshments will be provided at each session.
💡 This is a fantastic opportunity for young people to build new skills, boost their confidence, and be part of a creative team effort.

Community Clean-Up at Charterhouse Road 🌿✨


On Friday 22nd August 2025, our communal area at Charterhouse Road received a much-needed clean-up thanks to the support of Match My Project, HW Clean Spaces, and Kingdom Partnership.

The space, which was in urgent need of attention, was transformed in no time at all as their teams and volunteers came together to clear and refresh the area.

We would like to give a heartfelt thank you to both service providers and to Match My Project for making this joint venture possible. The clean-up has already sparked ideas among residents about how the space can be enjoyed and developed further.

Together, we are creating cleaner, brighter spaces for our community to enjoy. 🌸

🎬 Exciting Opportunity for Young Filmmakers! 🎬

Do you love films? Want to learn how to make your own? Join us for a FREE filmmaking project at Unity Support Network!

📅 Starting Monday 4th August 2025
🕒 Every Monday for 6-8 weeks (Sessions will run from 4pm - 6pm or 6pm - 8pm)
📍 Charterhouse Road Community Centre, Hackney (E8)

This is your chance to:

Learn how to create a short film from start to finish 🎥
Explore important topics like bullying, friendship, mental health, and more
Work with experienced filmmakers to write, shoot, and edit your own movie
Showcase your work at a community screening at the end! 🍿
We’re looking for young people aged 10-16 to join the fun! 🎬

🔹 Space is limited to 15-20 children

Event Update: Black Business Market – Cancelled

We regret to inform you that the Black Business Market, originally scheduled for Saturday 5th July 2025 at Charterhouse Road Community Centre, has been cancelled.

This decision was not made lightly, and we sincerely apologise for any disappointment or inconvenience this may cause.

We remain committed to supporting Black-owned businesses and will be exploring future opportunities to bring the community together in celebration and solidarity.
