Dear riders,

Unfortunately despite great work by British Cycling and our team we will not be able to run any crit races at Hillingdon circuit this year. This is due to a combination of COVID-19 restrictions and improving health and safety actions currently underway at the circuit. Whilst this will come as a disappointment rest assured the team are closely working with Britsh Cycling and the local council to enable racing to return next year.

For those that have made bookings for races this year, these will be refunded in the next 48 hours.

Please check the page for any updates and we looking forward to seeing you all at the start line in 2021.

Dear riders,
I have just spoken with BC and unfortunately, due to a major incident, the Hillingdon Circuit is currently closed to all riders and events. As such we will not be able to put on this weekend's race.

I'm sorry for the late notice, but have issued a full refund to all riders today. Please contact me if you do not receive this and I'll chase up with BC.

Hillingdon Council are very keen on restarting racing at the track and along with BC are working hard to reopen safely as soon as possible. On that basis we hope that the race planned for the 3rd October will go ahead.

Dear riders, you should have now all received a full refund for the cancelled event on the 31st August. If you haven't please let me know.

A number have riders have been in contact with me concerning the event planned for the 12th. Once British Cycling have met with the council I should know more but I will aim to provide an update this evening either way.

Dear Riders

It is with deepest regret that we have to announce the cancellation of the race day planned for 31st August.

Hillingdon User Group, who operate the circuit, have now decided that it is too dangerous to operate a race at this time due to COVID-19 and additional members of the public using the circuit. We understand this is as frustrating for you as it is for us, as we have worked really hard behind the scenes to comply with all government and British Cycling guidelines for resuming racing post-COVID-19.

We have asked for details of the risk assessment that this decision is based on so that we can adjust procedures accordingly, but the group is unwilling to share this information at this time. We have also been in contact with the local MP and Council, who have expressed their disappointment on the user group decision and have said they would pursue this matter further. We will let you know if anything changes as a result of this.

To all riders - we are really sorry once again that we cannot put on these races (especially the ladies race which had started to come together) but we hope that we can resume racing as soon as possible.

As mentioned in our previous post we will issue a full refund to all riders but please bear with us as we have quite a few to process so this will take us some time. Many thanks for your understanding in this.

Hello everyone, we first want to say a BIG THANK YOU to all the key workers out there who have and continue to work so hard keeping us all healthy and safe.

Today we can announce some BIG news, 😊 on 31st August, assuming all goes to plan, BIG Events will be hosting a full day of British Cycling racing for all categories and ages including a ladies event. The races will be BC sanctioned. We are currently planning on running the same format as originally planned but as you can appreciate we are working to evolving government guidelines, so this may be subject to change

Due to COVID-19 restrictions the races will be PRE-ENTRY ONY, so we would encourage you to register as soon as possible. We will keep all entrants updated on any changes to format or timing with as much advance notice as possible.

We know that this has been has been a hard time for everyone and know how much you have all missed racing. For that reason should the event will get cancelled we will refund in full all entries.

The BIG Events team are looking forward to seeing you all on the start line.

It's almost the end of the season and this weekend will be our penultimate race of the season. We would love to see as many of you at the start line as possible. Entries are open online until Thursday evening.

Its getting to that time of year when we starting looking at our points – do we need a few more to move up a CAT or just having bragging rights with your team and club mates. This coming weekend the weather is looking dry and we have 3 great races schedule at Hillingdon crit and would love to see as many of you there as possible.
