Odyssey '43 The Flight of The Red Fox is a fictional adventure set in the autumn of 1943. The story follows three siblings who have been torn apart by conflict, as each one navigates the hardships of World War Two.
The primary character and youngest sibling, Renee Vogel, is forced to undertake an arduous trek into occupied France, where she must fight to survive. She finds a new family in the Resistance movement and experiences post-traumatic growth, as she struggles to bring her brothers together and escape the horrors of war before it's too late.
Her elder brothers, Karl and Dieter, are both fighter pilots. However, there is a catch, as each one has to fly for the opposing side in the conflict, while being completely unaware that they're right across the English Channel from one another.
Inspired by Tom Clancy, the author has crafted a historical fiction full of grit, brutal realism, and just the right amount of heart to keep the reader captivated from start to finish. This book is a must-read for fans of action-packed war stories, combat aircraft, and heroines.
