SERA - Labour’s Environment Campaign

SERA - Labour’s Environment Campaign Tackling environmental problems is key to delivering opportunity and fairness.

SERA is interested in the most important environmental & social challenges facing Britain - challenges that only a Labour Government can tackle. Founded in 1973, SERA is the only environmental group affiliated to Labour, and campaigns for the party to adopt ambitious environmental policies. From climate change to community energy, we're passionate about tackling the most important environmental an

d social challenges facing Britain; challenges only Labour administrations can tackle. As a membership organisation we act as a hub for red-green politics across the UK, with active local branches raising the profile of environmental issues in their area. We hold events, run campaigns, publish new thinking and ideas, and work with partners across the Labour and environmental movements to shape the political debate. We're run by a voluntary Executive Committee, as well as a permanent National Organiser.

This week, many of us in the Labour movement will have shed a tear as Keir announced his resignation. There is no doubt that the PM and his Government have made this country better. His Government also delivered historic progress on climate action. As we reflect and thank him for these achievements, we can all feel hopeful that a new chapter for Labour will deliver the policy change we need with a leadership that can cut through a hostile media and that resonates with communities.
