Fantastic news for ! 💚

Hackney Council has awarded grants to 7 amazing local community groups to launch Repair Cafés across the borough over the next year, free for residents! 🛠️🧵

Repair Cafes will focus on a mixture of textile👖, bike 🚲 and electrical 🔌 repairs, bringing neighbors together to learn skills, save money, and keep items out of landfill.

Beyond reducing waste, these initiatives foster community cohesion, build practical skills, and champion inclusivity—including BSL-interpreted sessions and neuro-inclusive spaces. Huge congratulations to all the funded organisations making Hackney's circular economy a reality! 🛠️🌍
