Irish waterworn limestone rockery stone now available for trade customers and private customers too. This beautiful limestone is similar in nature and character to the now unavailable Westmorland stone. This stone is also known as weathered limestone, water-worn limestone, Irish limestone, limestone pavement and Irish water stone. It's ideally suited to rock gardens and water features giving an im

mediate aged and natural look. It's been described by a Chelsea flower show winner as "the Rolls Royce of stone" for which we are quite proud. This limestone is durable, the features have been carved by the slow process of rainwater eroding the stone over many thousands of years. The area the stone is taken from is not in a Special Area of Conservation (SAC) or National Heritage Area so there are no issues with the sale of this stone. It comes from reclaimed farm land where stone has been buried over the centuries as the land was cleared by hand for farming. The stone is sold in 28-30 ton loads delivered in an articulated tipper, though if you need smaller loads please contact me to arrange delivery as I can work with local merchants no matter where you are based to ship smaller amounts. The size of the stone can be specified upon order ranging in size from 10kg up to 2 tons. Waterworn limestone finds uses in water features, rockeries, monoliths, waterfalls, rip rap, rock armor, fish ponds and building/walling stone.
