Attended Redbridge Women’s welfare association lead by Abida Iqbal and her volunteers. Took part in some activities such as light yoga and gave some encouragement for the work they do in the community. Some were also kind enough to make donations towards the mayors charities.

Had fun at the Ajoyo Family Reunion from the Jibolu Taiwo Family UK chapter. Chatted to Many family members who kept this tradition going for so long and sampled some of the Nigerian food on offer. The music was good too.

I attended the engagement with the city of London and North East sector army cadets. I met mayors and deputy lieutenants from neighbouring boroughs. Saw a presentation about the cadet movement and also met some of the army cadets themselves after giving us a show with their drills that they put on display. Had some time to see some tug of war games between the cadet teams and an award ceremony

I enjoyed my visit to the summer fun day organised by the Maybank community association. Got to talk with many of the stall holders and attendees enjoying the weather. Got to witness a performance from a choir and gave a speech congratulating the organisers and stall holders for making the event a success.
