At the outbreak of the War, over 150 Falkland Islanders volunteered for service with 25 not returning home - all from a population of just 2,300. 🇫🇰

A huge well done to the mighty Team Falklands for their performance at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games over the last couple of weeks! 👏

With 7 wins in total, the Bowls Team set a Falklands record for the highest number of wins at a single Commonwealth Games! 🏆

From the athletes themselves to the supporting team, sponsors and the Falkland Islands National Sports Council, there have been some fantastic results for the Falkland Islands! 🇫🇰

A huge well done to Falkland Islands Junior Ambassador Jessica Lee on delivering an extraordinary speech at the 13th Commonwealth Youth Parliament hosted in Sydney, Australia earlier this week. 👏

Jessica spoke very movingly about her family's history in the Falkland and reiterated the tremendous importance of Islanders' right to self-determination. 🇫🇰
