Bespoke Challenges - We create and run bespoke challenges for corporates, public sector bodies and employers, and charities. Run the World - is an extraordinary challenge that is being undertaken by Dan Thompson, our founder, who has committed to run 10km in every country in the world. Dan is doing the challenge to promote the benefits of sport and physical activity and to raise money for cancer research. Our Background:

Gold Challenge launched in late 2010 and ran two Olympic and Paralympic inspired challenges in the run up to London 2012 – the 2012km Challenge and the Olympic Sport Challenge. Gold Challenge partnered with the British Olympic Association / Team GB, Paralympics GB and Sport England and was part of the official London 2012 mass participation legacy programme. Gold Challenge also worked closely with LOCOG (the organising body for London 2012) and hosted one of the pre-Games test events in the Olympic Stadium. The event saw 20,000 people celebrate the extraordinary achievements of people taking on the Gold Challenge. The challenges were highly successful with in excess of 150,000 people participating. Over 100 corporates and 100 schools took part including large employers such as GSK, BP, Atos, EDF, Cisco, John Lewis and Coca Cola. Over £1.5 million was also raised for Gold Challenge’s 150 charity partners who included such household names as Cancer Research UK, Oxfam, the NSPCC and Help for Heroes. In early 2013, Gold Challenge launched the Take12 Challenge - a healthy living challenge funded by the London Legacy Development Corporation (the body responsible for the Olympic Park post the Games). Take12 aimed to inspire people in the Olympic host boroughs – Hackney, Newham, Greenwich, Tower Hamlets, Waltham Forest and Barking & Dagenham - to be more active and to explore the Olympic Park as it opened. Focussed on inactives, families and young people, Take 12 exceeded all its targets with over 15,000 registrations. Since 2013 Gold Challenge has created and run a range of healthy living and physical activity challenges for clients including global corporates, major public sector employers and bodies, and charities.

Our founder, Dan Thompson, has just added 45 UK runs to his Run the World challenge. He’s raising money for Cancer Research and that takes his global total to 250 runs - which is equivalent to running 2 500 000 metres. That’s a metre for every cancer sufferer in the UK.
We know he’d love it if you could join or support any of his runs. More details here:

I was in a meeting with Denise ‘Da Bees Knees’ and we were discussing how we could increase Run the World’s impact. In particular, how we could increase fundraising, do more talks, get more people …
