🚲 TfL is taking over the licencing of e-bikes across London. This is good news for riders and means more consistency in the rules. But it's also a chance to fix the issues we've seen in many boroughs.

The London-wide licence must...

The Government's plans to reduce the number of police forces in England and Wales could see the City of London Police merged with the Metropolitan Police.

The City of London Police have a real specialism in tackling fraud as well as economic and cyber crimes which could be weakened by a merger. It would also mean more demands on our already stretched Police in the rest of Greater London.

I raised these concerns at City Hall last week and welcome Sadiq Khan's response of also opposing this merger πŸ‘‡

Low officer morale means more officers leave the Met Police each year than join it.

We need to fix it.

That's why I challenged Sadiq Khan on this at City Hall πŸ‘€πŸ‘‡

We can't keep waiting for our transport infrastructure to break before we fix it.

That's why I raised the issues on the District line, which are being raised by the Fix The District Line campaign, with Sadiq Khan at Mayors Question Time yesterday.

We must urgently get to the bottom to TfL's failures with the A20. That's why I have called for a enquiry into their handling of it, but Sadiq Khan and the Department of Transport have refused.

This new evidence that has come to light only makes the case an enquiry stronger.

Packed few days at Conservative Party Conference. I got to take part in some really interesting panels topics like...

🌳 the future of Conservatism,
πŸ“ˆ Turbocharging Growth and,
πŸ₯΅ having housing that can cope with heatwaves.

A lot of fun all around!

Sadiq Khan is coming for our Green Belt!

Instead of fixing the issues that stop developers from building and people from buying, he is lazily allowing a free for all to concrete over our precious green spaces.

We need to stop him. Sign our petition πŸ–‹ stopthelondonplan.com

Had a great time earlier this month joining volunteers from Thames 21 at the Thames Road Wetlands in Bexley; helping to clean up the River Wansunt.

From dragon flies to water voles, the wetlands are an important hub of biodiversity and are looked after by a dedicated team of volunteers.

I enjoyed spending time with the team and learning more about what they do, and the new species of wildlife coming to the area.
