A copper clad cupola we carried out at Smithfield market in the 90s. Next door to the former Port of London Authority building, It still looks good now. It was one of a pair on the front corners of a cold store for Smithfield Market (which you can see in the background), and had been taken over by Citogen, a power producer serving the local area, including The Barbican. Behind to the right can be seen the curved roof of The Poultry building. Completed in 1963, it was the largest, single expanse concrete roof in Europe and, inspired by The Pantheon in Rome, it's concrete skin was only 75mm thick!
