First Rose is a collection of work by Amy Hurst, Astrud Steehouder, Jessamine Tierney and Nina Bosnic that will occupy the belfry and vestibule space in St John's of Bethnal Green throughout October 2012.

The work has been specifically created and curated by the artists to be shown within the stone walls of the belfry tower and the vestibule. Presenting across a broad range of media including photography, film, sculpture and music, the free exhibition features solo and collaborative work inspired by the space. The exhibition will also feature a live Paper Dollhouse performance by Astrud Steehouder and Nina Bosnic, an electronic folk project on the Bird/ Finders Keepers label. St John on Bethnal Green is a registered charity, no: 1132150

Exhibition closes this Sunday so if you would like to see it please head down. It's open 12-6 Thursday-Sunday.

The place looks like a mini London Dungeons and is generally amazing and we're really excited about it. Bring a jumper because it may be cold (massive stone walls, listed building) and understand that it's a small venue so if you come late you may not fit.
