A few days ago, we made the decision to indefinitely suspend campaigns at .

3 years on from when we founded the organisation, with many of our team moving on to work, university, or other campaigns, we felt it was right to call time and make way for other young activists.

I’m so proud of everything we achieved at Teen Voice, particularly our 2018 event , which was supported with some truly amazing acts and by some of my closest friends.

Thank you to everyone who made the past 3 years possible and keep making your voices heard.

Olivia Petter takes a look, in this article, into why some people may find it difficult to return to leaving the house as normal as lockdown begins to be lifted. The UK spent 8 weeks in complete lockdown. The lockdown pushed millions of people to face unemployment or a furlough, which will probably create a recession worse than in 2008. All of these factors, and a total removal from all our usual freedoms has created huge levels of anxiety and mental health issues in young people and adults.

Managing it is more important than ever while in lockdown

Celebrities such as Holly Willoughby, Gordon Ramsay and David Walliams have come together to create a video to remind people to reach out and contact people for mental health support during lockdown. ITV debuted the video The video is part of ITV's campaign for mental health called "Get Britain Talking". The broadcaster comments that it has seen more than 6.1 million people text or call someone they trust since 21 March.

For this year's Mental Health Awareness Week, the Mental Health Foundation have launched a new challenge: to be active for at least 30 minutes a day. You could go for a walk, do some baking or gardening, or do an at-home workout (YouTube videos are good for this). You could also set up a fundraising page online so people can sponsor you whilst you're active.

More young people are using the text service Shout during lockdown. Councillors have also reported a rise in levels of anxiety. Since lockdown was announced, an extra 6,000 people have used the service. On average, two-thirds of the people using Shout are under 25. Shout has backing from the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. The busiest weeks of Shout UK were after the su***de of Caroline Flack, this meant that there was a 30% rise in the in use of the service. People aged 18 to 24 were the most likely to mention su***de, in the first year of the service, and children under the age of 13 were more likely to mention self-harm.

Today marks the first day in Mental Health Week 2020. This year's theme is 'kindness'. It has been chosen because of it's "singular ability to unlock our shared humanity". There are lots of ways you can show kindness in lockdown, this could something as simple as calling a friend.

The University of Manchester is the first university to confirm that it's lectures will remain online for the first term of the academic year. Social distancing will not be possible within lecture theatres, thus keeping them online will be safer. Manchester is "keen to continue" holding seminars though, so students still need to be on campus from the official start date.

If you are made redundant the Department of Education has promised to find you an alternative position within 12 weeks. Remote "end-point" assessments will be conducted, where possible. The Resolution Foundation thinktank has speculated that unemployment among young people in Britain could reach one million in the coming year unless the government can provide job guarantees or urges them to continue in education. The "corona class of 2020" is the most exposed group to the impact of the economic fallout due to the coronavirus. The Office for National Statistics shows that 408,000 people aged 18-24 are unemployed.
