๐Ÿš— ๐Ÿš— Woodhouse Eaves Parking & Road Safety โ€“ Have Your Say

The Parish Council is seeking residents' views on parking and road safety concerns at the crossroads of Meadow Road and Maplewell Road, particularly near the pharmacy, Spar shop and bus stop.

There have been several accidents at this junction, and concerns have been raised that vehicles parked close to the crossroads can reduce visibility for drivers, cyclists and pedestrians.

We know this is a difficult issue as many neighbouring residents rely on on-street parking because they do not have off-street parking available.

Several possible options have been suggested, including:

๐ŸŸก Double yellow lines near the junction to improve visibility.
๐Ÿš— Looking at additional parking opportunities elsewhere in the village.
๐Ÿšฆ Exploring other measures, including a possible 20mph speed limit in the area.

At this stage, no decisions have been made. We want to hear from the community first.

โ“What are your experiences of this junction?
โ“Do you feel changes are needed?
โ“Which options would you support, and do you have any other
suggestions, particularly alternative parking locations?

Please share your thoughts in the comments below or email the Clerk at [email protected]. The Parish Council will review all feedback and discuss residents' views at the September Parish Council meeting.

Thank you for helping us work towards a solution that improves safety while considering the needs of residents, businesses and visitors.
