Preventing & overcoming homelessness together


Without judgement, our strong, passionate team works together with the local community to prevent and relieve homelessness. Through providing a range of specialist housing related advice, support and assistance services, we aim to empower a future where we all thrive in safe and secure homes. We will not tolerate any of the following behaviours:

Aggressive comments and swearing
Inflammatory comments
Intimidation, including threatening behaviour
Inciting hate, including sexism, racism and homophobia

Any person displaying such behaviour will therefore be removed from our page.

It’s been a week since The Bridge (East Midlands) Charity Gala, and the photos are finally here! 📸✨

👀 Looking back at an unforgettable evening filled with laughter, dancing, and, most importantly, raising awareness about homelessness .

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who attended, celebrated with us and helped make the night so special. Your generosity mean a lot to us, and we’re incredibly grateful to have you as part of The Bridge family. 🫶

🕺 Last night was our Bollywood Fusion Charity Gala, where we aimed to combine a fun night of dancing and food with the importance of homelessness prevention.

We are absolutely delighted to say a massive THANK YOU to local musicians Fatzorro & Sparky for their incredible generosity and for raising an amazing £6,000 through their gigs since 2024! 🙌🎸

Our Fundraising and Partnerships Manager, Helen Lee-Smith, says:

‼️ Students, the new Renters Rights Act may affect this years accommodation ‼️

🗓️ From May 1st 2026, the government changed rules for renters to make renting more secure, fairer and easier to understand.
However, this also impacts students

The new law now means:

- Landlords can no longer evict tenants without a clear legal reason
- All private tenancies become ‘rolling tenancies with no fixed end date.
(You can leave the the property by giving 2 months notice)
- Landlords can only increase the rent once per year, which tenants can challenge if they believe it to be unfair
- Landlords cannot ask for more than 1 months rent upfront
