Following the winter, 2026 earthworks are well underway.

Our planned five month winter break ends on Monday 13 April, when our contractor will bring excavators and equipment back to site and activity will resume for the 2026 earthworks season.

On Lambley Road, temporary traffic lights will be in place from 30 March for around four weeks while we reinstate and seed the road verges.

Nottinghamshire County Council's drone footage of a wet reservoir construction site. Following a successful 2025 earthworks season where we constructed everything as planned, site activities will now pause until the spring. This is in accordance with our programme.

The work on Lambley Road continues, you'll have seen the road and verge improvements over recent months. We have permission to extend the temporary traffic lights to the end of October to allow us to complete this work. If we can remove these temporary traffic lights before the end of October, we will.

Making the most of the good weather: reservoir taking shape to the left now covering the concrete flow control structure. Works upstream and downstream of the structure are almost complete. Great progress by our contractor Jackson Civil Engineering, thanks to Nottinghamshire County Council for the drone footage.

The work on Lambley Road continues, the road will now remain open on temporary traffic lights while our contractor Jacksons finish the road verge and reinstate hedging. This will continue into September to allow us to complete everything required.
