A plea to look after our play equipment at Foxhills Park

Back in August, the Parish Council replaced the handle on the bee springer at Foxhills Park at considerable cost. It’s a popular piece of play equipment, so we were happy to invest in getting it repaired for everyone to enjoy.

Sadly, we’re very disappointed to discover that the new handle has now disappeared.

If anyone has seen the handle or knows where it is, please could we have it back? We’d really appreciate its safe return.

This is particularly disappointing as we’re about to embark on a major refurbishment of Rocket Park, investing in new and improved play equipment for the children of our community.

We want to provide facilities that everyone can enjoy, but we need the community’s help to look after them. We hope this investment will be respected and that our play equipment will be treated with care so that it can be enjoyed by children for years to come.

Thank you for helping us look after our parks and play areas.

🚀 ROCKET PARK IS GETTING A MAKEOVER! 🚀

📅 Work starts Monday 19 October 2026

We’re excited to announce that Proludic will soon begin a substantial refresh of Rocket Park! 🎉

See the proposed new layout below! 👇

We’re keeping some of your favourite equipment, with a few changes, and replacing less popular items with exciting new play equipment. The aim is to make Rocket Park even better for everyone, with improved play opportunities for our youngest toddlers and something exciting for teenagers too!

The equipment has been selected following a public consultation at the 2025 Summer Fair and a tender process. We’re also making improvements to the ball court! ⚽

🛠️ What you need to know:

Works are expected to take 3–4 weeks.

The main Rocket Park and ball court areas will be fenced off for safety.

Please keep children out of the fenced-off areas while work is underway.

The zip line, skate ramps and cycle bumps will remain open throughout.

We appreciate that the work will extend into October half-term, but we’re keen to complete the improvements before the ground becomes too wet. Otherwise, the project could be delayed for around six months.

We can’t wait to see Rocket Park’s exciting new look take shape! 🌟

Thank you for your patience while we make these improvements for our community.
