"We bought it for £1."

That's the line everyone remembers.

Here's the bit they don't tell you...

Fylde Council's own officers warned against taking Kirkham Baths on without a funded plan.

They warned about rising costs.

They warned about deterioration.

They warned the building could sit empty for years.

The Conservatives ignored the warnings. Councillors even laid amendments to mitigate these risks, but were voted down by other councillors, including the leader of Fylde Borough Council.

Every figure in this video comes from Fylde Council's own documents obtained through FOI.

Watch. Then ask yourself one question:

Why did they ignore their own officers?

Fylde deserves better!

You can see why Whyndyke Garden Village was chosen for a major development. It's on Preston New Road, right next to the M55, has excellent transport links, plenty of space, and plans for things like community facilities, green space and local amenities.

Compare that to the proposed Towns Hill development in Wesham.

What I can't get my head around is this: planning permission for around 1,400 homes at Whyndyke was granted back in 2018, yet much of the site remains undeveloped.

So why is there such a rush to build on more greenfield land in Wesham before developments like this have been delivered?

🚫 Kirkham Swimming Baths — Still Closed 🚫

It's June 2026, and at this rate, you have to wonder who'll be Prime Minister by the time this building finally reopens.

The Conservative MP has appeared in hard hats. The Leader of Fylde Council has issued statement after statement. The local Conservative Councillor reused a video on polling day saying work is being done.

Today, at Lancashire County Council we’re welcoming more than 100 colleagues from 30 local authorities to share experiences, lessons learned, and insights from our AI journey.

Collaboration is at the heart of this event. By bringing together local government leaders, practitioners, and innovators, we’re creating an opportunity to learn from one another and accelerate the responsible adoption of AI across the sector.

At the end of the session, Lancashire will be making more than 100 AI prompts available to the local government community, helping authorities improve outcomes and efficiency in adults’ and children’s social care.

Our hope is that this pioneering event will strengthen partnerships, foster greater collaboration across local government, and support a shared approach to AI-driven transformation that benefits communities across the country.

For years residents were told to be patient while our roads crumbled and patch-up jobs became the norm.

Now we’re seeing real action and real results.

County Cllr Joshua Roberts - Reform UK is getting on with the job - fixing roads, standing up for residents, and delivering the improvements our communities deserve.

Less talk. More action. 🇬🇧

Two families. Two tenancy experiences.

One scheme came with guaranteed payments, incentives, void cover and financial support for landlords.

Meanwhile many local residents moving into council housing are simply expected to cope with little or no additional support.

Residents deserve a fair conversation about priorities, spending and who local authorities choose to back.

A vote for County Cllr Joshua Roberts - Reform UK on Thursday is a vote for action! 🗳️🇬🇧
