Planned works on G**s Lane Field 📍

We’d like to let local residents know that planned works are currently taking place on G**s Lane field to repair a water leak. 💧

We anticipate that the works will be completed early next week. 🗓️

**Unauthorised Encampment Bray Update**
The Clerk has taken pictures of the site and has passed them on to the Police, who have promised to call and help us to enforce our eviction notice.

The fact that they are not using vehicles does not mean that the Police cannot use their Section 61 powers, and there are other laws they can use to help make them leave.

It is a case of continuing to keep the Police informed, which we will be doing, as well as residents reporting any ASB to 101.

Thank you for your patience. We are working on this.

**Unauthorised Encampment Bray**
We are aware that there is an unauthorised encampment on Bray Village Green.

We have reported this to the Police and will work through our removal process. In the meantime residents are asked to report any anti-social behaviour or criminality to the police.

We will continue to update the community but please share this with any local community groups.

Have Your Say – Bray Village Hall Car Park 🚗⚡️

Are you a local resident in Bray who uses the Bray Village Hall car park?

We’d love to hear your views on whether installing an electric vehicle (EV) charger at the car park would be beneficial to local residents and the wider community.

Rachel, our Bray Parish Clerk, and her team are speaking with residents door-to-door to gather local views. If you use the car park, please take a moment to complete our short survey and have your say.

🌿 HOLYPORT POND NOTICE 🌿

We have received many phone calls and emails from local residents regarding Holyport Pond and we appreciate your concern. We want to reassure our residents that we are aware of the situation and have taken the appropriate action, including seeking specialist advice about the pond and its wildlife.

Below is information that may help answer your queries:
Why aren’t we topping the pond up?
We’ve taken specialist advice from the Environment Agency and Freshwater Habitats Trust, who have advised that the pond should not be artificially topped up with water.
Adding water could disrupt the natural balance of the pond and affect the plants and wildlife that depend on its natural cycle.

What about the wildlife?
🐟 Fish have been removed for their safety.
🐦 Birds are not harmed by the pond drying up and may temporarily move elsewhere.

Why does it need to dry out?
Dry periods help to:
• Support the natural lifecycle of the habitat
• Prevent the ecosystem from becoming disturbed
• Allow wildlife adapted to temporary water conditions to thrive 🦆🌿

The best thing we can do is allow Holyport Pond to cycle naturally and protect this important habitat.

Thank you for helping us look after our local wildlife and natural environment.
