Bray Parish Council is inviting applications for Community Led CIL Project Funding. Helping turn local ideas into projects that benefit our community!

🌳 Whether it's improving a local facility or creating something that brings lasting benefits to residents, we'd love to hear your ideas!

💰 What's the funding for?

Funding comes from the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL), which the Council receives from new developments in the Parish.

Projects must provide a clear community benefit, offer good value for money and meet the funding criteria.

🦔 Wildlife Watch | Helping hedgehogs this Autumn

As the weather gets cooler, hedgehogs are busy building up their reserves and looking for safe places to spend the colder months.

There are a few simple things we can all do to give them a helping hand:
🍂 Leave a little cover – piles of leaves, logs and quiet corners can provide valuable shelter.
🔎 Check before you tidy – take care when moving piles of leaves or garden material where a hedgehog may be hiding.
💧 Provide fresh water – a shallow dish of clean water can be a useful helping hand.
🏡 Create a way through – small gaps between gardens can help hedgehogs move around in search of food and shelter.
🔥 Check before lighting bonfires – piles of garden material can look like an inviting place to shelter, so always check carefully first.

Small changes across our gardens can make a real difference to local wildlife.

CIL Working Group – we’d like your ideas!

Our CIL Working Group held its first meeting on Wednesday 23rd September, reviewing suggestions put forward by the Bray Parish Committees as well as ideas received from residents at our recent Councillor Surgeries.

We’re now building a wish list of potential projects that could benefit our community. The Working Group will review these ideas and progress suitable projects over the five-year period we have to spend our CIL funding. And we’d like more ideas from you!

Come along to our next Councillor Surgery tomorrow, Saturday 3rd October, from 10am–12 noon at Braywood Memorial Hall

Police Appeal – Serious Road Traffic Collision in Fifield

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision on the B3024 Forest Road at the junction with Coningsby Lane, Fifield, shortly before midday on Sunday 27th September.

The collision involved a car and a cyclist. A teenage girl sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital.

Police are particularly keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision, or who was travelling in the area at the time and may have dash-cam footage of the collision or the moments leading up to it.

If you have any information or relevant footage, please contact Thames Valley Police online or call 101, quoting reference 43260504254.

Please share this appeal with anyone who may have been travelling along Forest Road or Coningsby Lane around that time.

Our thoughts are with the young person involved and her family.
