The new Parish Council storage unit was installed this morning, with the old one being taken away for scrap. Thanks to everyone who came to help, the amazing crew from Lawrence Storage and the cute fluffy orange cat who kept an eye on proceedings.

Police Force Mergers Survey

Last chance to have your say on the future of policing!

The Government has proposed merging police forces, creating fewer and larger forces across England and Wales. These changes could affect local policing, visibility and accountability in our communities.

The survey closes next week, so if you haven't already shared your views, now is the time. Your feedback will help inform the Commissioner's response to the Independent Review and ensure the views of Kent residents are represented as decisions are considered at a national level.

The Parish Council has recently obtained quotes and selected a contractor to refurbish some of the benches in the parish. Our aim is to regularly maintain or replace benches. Our thanks to B*H Builders Ltd who we feel have done a wonderful job.

The Parish Council has fitted a kick board both inside and outside the metal fence of the MUGA which we hope will prevent further damage to the fence. We have also recently upgraded the CCTV on the MUGA to ensure that everyone can enjoy this space. The Heath Road bus shelter is due to be replaced week commencing 24/08/2026; works are programmed in for 5 days but are unlikely to take this long. MBC is funding this new shelter

Good afternoon,

I am writing to provide an update regarding water supplies in Coxheath, Loose, Linton, and surrounding areas.

Drinking water supplies have been restored to customers in the area, however, the levels in the local storage tank are still lower than we need. We still need customers to be mindful of their water use so we can continue to recover the storage levels and stabilise supplies.

The bottled water stations below are open again for the customers in the Sutton Valance and Headcorn area that remain without water.
