Advice from UK Power Network You may be concerned at this time about the food in your fridge and freezer. Food should keep for between 4-6 hours in the fridge and 15-24 hours in the freezer if you can avoid opening it.
If you have had a power cut lasting longer than 12 continuous hours, we’re sorry for the inconvenience and you may be entitled to a payment from us.
Once we have restored your power, we'll proactively contact all customers who are eligible for a payment so there is no need for you to contact us about this.
