| This morning, officers from the North Neighbourhood Team executed a drugs warrant in .

Officers located weapons and a stolen bike at the property.

A 19-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of drugs and possession of an offensive weapon in a private place.

He remains in police custody for questioning.

| “I just wanted to commend them for helping us when they didn't have to, and if it wasn't for them being there, I would have started stressing and my son might have missed his race.”

Whilst supporting the recent IRONKIDS event, two officers helped a member of the public whose car had broken down.

The member of the public has since contacted us to praise the officers who quick to offer their help: “I was taking my son and the rest of my family to the IRONKIDS event in Bolton town centre, which my son was racing in.

“Unfortunately, as soon as we pulled onto a car park in the town centre, my car broke down in the middle of the car park, and it was very busy – I was starting to panic. Luckily for me, there were two police officers there who offered to help push my car to a safer place.

“I just wanted to commend them for helping us when they didn't have to, and if it wasn't for them being there, I would have started stressing, and my son might have missed his race.

“I just wanted to say thank you so much, as I didn't get their names or badge numbers, but I really appreciate their help. My son got to his race on time. Honestly, just top-tier people!”

👮🏽 We arrested a woman on Tonge Moor Road on suspicion of a burglary in Harwood
🚫 We arrested a man for drug driving after being stopped by officers on Halliwell Road
🚗 We seized a car on Wolfenden Street after the driver was found to be disqualified from driving
🚚 We seized a van on Darwen Road after the driver failed to stop for officers and abandoned the van
🔎 We searched four people believed to be in possession of drugs/stolen property
🍺 We conducted checks at six pubs showing the England match
✅ We reunited some property stolen from a car in Halliwell with its owner

| Operation Hurricane is back for 2026.

Op Hurricane is a coordinated crackdown on the anti-social use of off-road bikes, e-bikes and quad bikes across the region.

The misuse of these vehicles continues to cause significant disruption within communities, affecting quality of life and posing serious risks to the public.

Officers from our Roads Policing Unit (RPU), Drone and Motorcycle Unit and the National Police Air Service (NPAS) will join neighbourhood teams in turning out to specific hotspot areas to deter, detect and disrupt offences from taking place.

This operation supports the Neighbourhood Policing Guarantee to crackdown on anti-social behaviour.

This evening, officers from ’s Neighbourhood Teams have executed a warrant at a property in Halliwell. This was in response to complaints from the community about drug supply in the area.

A 38-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of drugs. She remains in police custody for questioning.
