| Police are appealing for the public's help to trace the family of a man from Bolton.

John Price 56, sadly died at an address on Grosvenor Street, Bolton, on 1 September.

There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.

Anyone with information about John’s next of kin should contact the police coroner’s office in Bolton on 0161 856 4687.

On Wednesday 26th August 2026 18:30hrs police received a report of high powered vehicles racing.

Officers attended the Bury road/Hypatia street area in Bolton when this vehicle accelerated at speed, loosing control of the back end of the vehicle, directly in front of a liveried police vehicle.

The vehicle was stopped and seized under S59 police reform act with the driver being issued a traffic offence report.

William Johnson, 71, sadly died at his address on Queens Avenue, Bromley Cross, Bolton, on 24/08/2026.

There are believed to be no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.

Anyone with information about William’s next of kin should contact the Police Coroner’s Office on 0161 856 4687.

The next Rumworth/Hulton Community Meeting will take place at St Andrew’s Church, Crescent Ave, Over Hulton, BL5 1EN on the 3rd September at 7pm.

This will be an opportunity to say goodbye to Sgt Cooper as he moves on to a new role outside of Bolton, and also say hello Sgt Dixon who is taking over.

Local partners and councillors have also been invited.

Finley was last seen in Tyldesley at around 7.00pm on 21/08/26.

Finlay is from the area and is believed to have travelled there.

Officers are becoming increasingly concerned for Finley's welfare and want to ensure he is safe and well.

Anyone with information about Finley's whereabouts is asked to contact police on 0161 856 7102, quoting MSP/06LL/0001795/26.

| Eight charged following Serious Organised Crime investigation in and

The following individuals have been charged with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs namely co***ne and he**in;

Nicolette Brown (15/12/1970) of Raikes Way, Bolton

Connor Hilton (18/9/1997) of Canada street, Bolton

Arif Mohmed (10/05/1978) of Drysdale View, Bolton

George Smalley (30/05/1994) of Raikes Way, Bolton

William Harris (20/11/1994) of Ashdene Crescent, Bolton

Muhammed Hasham (31/12/2005) of Hurst Street, Bolton

They have all been remanded in custody ahead of a scheduled appearance at Manchester Magistrates Court today (Friday 21 August 2026).

Meanwhile, Mohammed Blial-Hussein (29/07/2006) of Rishton Lane, Bolton, has been charged with possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.

Salman Tailor (26/10/1997) of Middlebrook Drive, Bolton, has been charged with conspiracy to money launder and participate in the activities of an Organised Crime Group.

They have also been remanded in custody ahead of a scheduled appearance at Manchester Magistrates Court today (Friday 21 August 2026).
