At 3pm today we break up for the half term holidays. We hope that you all enjoy spending time with your wonderful children. ‘What’s In The Box?’ On our return, week beginning Tuesday 9th June the letter sounds will be K and L. Children are encouraged to bring in an object for the box which begins with the letter of the week, and they can bring in a different object each day they come, if they wish! It is an introduction to phonics, so if the object begins with the sound the letter makes (eg, ‘a’ for ‘apple’), rather than the name of the letter (eg, ‘A’ sounds like the start of the word ‘apricot’), that really helps!

It has been a very ‘eggciting’ week here at St. Cuthbert’s. 10 chicks have hatched at nursery and we can’t wait to watch them grow over the next week 🐣
