🚭 The online programme is designed to help people stop smoking without relying on willpower, ni****ne replacement products or va**ng.

🛣 Work complete on A56 Chester Road and M60 Junction 7 improvements

Essential improvements to the A56 Chester Road and slip roads at M60 Junction 7 have now been successfully completed.

The resurfacing and repair work will help improve journeys and the condition of the road for everyone using this busy route.

We know that roadworks can be disruptive, so we'd like to say thank you to drivers, residents and local businesses for your patience and understanding while these essential improvements were carried out.

Trafford retailers are being urged to remove disposable barbecues from sale following a temporary ban due to the ongoing risk of wildfires.

Despite recent rain, the ground remains extremely dry and fires can spread quickly, putting people, wildlife and green spaces at risk.

Our Trading Standards team is asking businesses to follow statutory guidance and withdraw disposable barbecues from sale.

Trafford retailers have been called on to help prevent further wildfires by removing disposable barbecues from sale.

🏗️ A major milestone has been reached at the former Greater Manchester Police HQ site off the A56 Chester Road in Old Trafford.

Demolition works have now been completed, paving the way for a proposed new neighbourhood of around 1,250 sustainable homes, including 25% affordable housing.

Working in partnership with the Greater Manchester Combined Authority and FEC, Trafford Council is helping bring forward a transformational development that will deliver new homes for Trafford residents, a hotel and commercial space.

The site, which has been closed to the public for more than 40 years, will be opened up through the creation of a new public park, green spaces and community amenities.

A planning application is expected to be submitted this autumn.
