The festive period can bring lots of different emotions, and for some children and young people it can be a challenging time. We want to remind families that support is available locally if a child is finding things difficult or if you have concerns about their mental health or wellbeing.

We, alongside the other academies across Stamford Park Trust, are proud to have supported this year’s Christmas Gift Appeal. Thanks to the generosity of students, staff, families, and the wider community, 152 children from 71 Tameside families received Christmas presents, with every child receiving four to six gifts.

Academies across the Trust worked together to collect donations, contributing to over 800 presents and £2,000 in financial support. We are grateful to Astley Sports Village and the 30+ volunteers who coordinated and wrapped all gifts, as well as for the additional support provided to families and care leavers.

It has been inspiring to see our Trust and communities come together once again to support those in need this Christmas.

We’re doing something really special and exciting at Longdendale this Christmas!

We’ve launched our very own 12 Days of Christmas, running from 4th December right through to the Christmas break. We’ve been snowed under with lots of fun Christmas activities, but there’s still plenty to look forward to!

Across the 12 days, some activities will be “in it to win it” style rewards, while others will be special events that everyone can get involved in. And remember - to be in it to win it, you’ll need 100% attendance from Wednesday 3rd December until Friday 19th December!
