Thank you to all those who voted Green and voted for me in Audenshaw.
I put a lot of effort into the campaign and got nearly 1,000 votes. Sadly it was not enough to win but it was enough to show there is a lot of support for Green policies. Time now for a rest and reflection.

Tameside, there’s no boats here (and local councillors can’t change national law). Did you know the oil and gas companies recorded record profits in 2026 - they don’t want you having solar panels where you get free energy.
They want you to take away Equality and Diversity because it also covers things like maternity leave and overtime pay- but they’re using racism to do it. They’ve already said they’ll privatise the NHS and they would send UK sons and daughters to fight America’s wars (just to get in the orange person’s good books). Don’t let them. Oh - they also lie about the Green Party and have the most poisonous policies

As the first postal ballots are arriving across Tameside, some residents are already casting their votes. The message is clear from everyone, they want change. What type of change, and how we deliver it is the question.

Labour have had a stronghold in Tameside for has long as anyone can remember, and will only continue to offer more of the same.

Reform run on divisive policies, with an emphasis on cost cutting, privatisation and individualism - the opposite of what a thriving community needs, and will only worsen the issues Tameside face.

But if you want to see real change, with a party built on strong community values, a commitment to protect our public services, and deliver a hopeful future for all, then the Green Party will deliver.

Vote Green, wherever you are, between now and May 7th.
