Marlow Bridge will be closed from 6 am 18th until 6 pm 19th April for essential work to replace some of the 12 bearings.

Emergency works by Cadent last weekend out The Chequers on the High Street meant work on the bridge were delayed until this weekend.

Berwick Road resurfacing starts this week.

As part of the £120 million investment in roads by your Conservative Council, the preparatory works are scheduled to take place between 17th and 22nd April.

Your Conservative Councillors have worked with the officers to bring forward this scheme.

Parking will be suspended on both sides of the whole road.

As a reminder, please move your vehicles from 8 pm on 16th April.

This will speed up the work , to get it completed before the 22nd April.

This is part of our 4 year capital programme of improving the roads in Marlow , which will also include, High Street, West Street, Spring Gardens (including Green Verges & Herons Place ) , & Marlow Bottom Road.

Marlow Infant School
Great Litter Pick
Today Saturday 28th March

I would like to thank the ECO Warriors ( Arthur, Mila , Sydney,Alex , Xanthe, Chloe, Elenor, & Hunter) from Marlow Infant School for inviting me to take part in their Great Litter Pick around Marlow.

It was great to see so many children & adults taking part.

In addition to the many bags of litter we collected, I also took 5 shopping trolleys that had been dumped in Sandygate Close back to Sainsbury’s in Marlow.

Maybe next time the trolleys could have a homing device ?

Marlow Bridge Restoration Project Update

I have just been informed that the bridge closure planned for this weekend has been postponed until after Easter.

The structural work on the bearings attaching the bridge to Marlow & Bisham will now take place between Friday 17th and Monday 20th April.

When I have more details on exact timings I will let you know.

After 18 months of consultation , your Conservative Buckinghamshire Councillors for Marlow,Cllr Alex Collingwood & Cllr Carol Heap have secured & implemented additional yellow lines in Wethered Road .

This is to improved visibility and safety for residents & school children at Holy Trinity school crossing from the quiet way & Dean Street Car Park.

West Street Car Park Car Fire - Update

I have been given the all clear from the Incident Commander to reopen the car park .

As you can see from the photos the car has now been taken away .

We need to assess the damage and as a precaution we have closed the EV Chargers in the car park

The rest of the car park is now fully open.

When I have an update on the EV Charging stations I will let you know.

West Street Car Park Shut

An Electric Car has caught fire.

It will take most of the day to stop the Fire according to the Fire Crew I have met on site .

The council officers are on site .

The smoke is really nasty please close your windows.

When I have more information I will send an update.

Just a reminder Marlow Bridge will be closed to all traffic this weekend from 14th February to 16th February.

This is so we can lift the bridge to fit the first of 12 new bearings to safeguard the future of the bridge for future generations.

This will include overnight , continuous working in an effort to reduce the amount of time the bridge will be closed .
