Cabinet were back in the town hall this morning:
✅ Agreeing our new homelessness strategy, stepping up our efforts to support those at risk of homelessness. Last year more than 1,800 local people needed support.
✅ Confirming extra dedicated resources for Selective Licensing areas - including Eastwood, Masborough, parts of Dinnington, Thurcroft and Parkgate - setting out how we’ll work together with tenants, landlords and residents to improve those communities and tackle some of the anti-social behaviour and fly tipping that blights parts of them.
✅ Backing our high streets, with business support and local annual grant funding for Swinton, Wath, Maltby, Dinnington and the town centre.
✅ Ensuring our new libraries in Wath and the town centre go ahead - without writing a blank cheque, so we’re protecting value for the taxpayer.
✅ And our annual roads programme - more than £10m to resurface more than 100 roads across the borough as we continue to drive down the number of potholes.
That’s investment to make every part of our borough better.
