This is probably one of the hardest posts I will ever have to write. ❤️
After 32 years in business as a family, we have made the incredibly difficult decision to hand over the reins to a new family.
This hasn’t been an easy decision. In fact, it has probably been one of the hardest decisions we have ever had to make. But after a lot of thought, we know in our hearts that it is the right thing for us and the right time to start a new chapter.
My journey with the business started when I was just 13 years old, working alongside my dad. He always hoped that one day I would be old enough to take over from him, and eventually that day came. Little did I know then that I would spend the next 32 years building something that would become such a huge part of my life.
And it hasn’t just been my journey. My mam, my sister and my whole family have all been such a massive part of what we have built together. There have been good times, hard times, plenty of laughs(ill let you ask Dale about the smallest house in England🤣), plenty of stress and so many memories that I will treasure forever.
I feel incredibly lucky to have been able to share this journey with my family, but especially my two children, who have travelled around with me from the time they were little. They have grown up around the business and have been part of so many of the memories. ❤️
Over those 32 years, I have also had the privilege of meeting some truly wonderful people. The friendships, conversations, laughs and relationships we have built along the way are probably what I will miss the most. The business may be changing hands, but those memories and friendships will always stay with me.
From 1st October, we will begin handing everything over to the new owners. Things will remain much the same, and I will be there to help them learn the ropes and make sure the transition is as smooth as possible.
We really hope that you will continue to support the new owners and give them the same support and loyalty that you have shown our family for the past 32 years.
To every single person who has supported us, believed in us, worked alongside us, bought from us, laughed with us and shared part of this journey with us — thank you from the absolute bottom of my heart.
I honestly don't think words can ever explain what this business and the people connected to it have meant to me and my family.
32 years is a huge part of a person's life, and walking away from something that has been such a big part of ours is going to be incredibly emotional.
But sometimes you have to know when it is time to close one chapter and open another.
So this isn't goodbye just yet… but it is the beginning of a very different chapter for our family.
