Did you know under-16s can swim for free in Merton? 💦

Merton Council’s free swimming initiative gives children and young people the chance to stay active and enjoy the pool for free.

Session times:

🏊 Weekends: 1pm–3pm
📚 Term time (Monday–Friday): 4pm–5.30pm
☀️ School holidays & public holidays: 9am–11am and 1pm–3pm

Please remember: All sessions must be booked in advance via the app or website https://brnw.ch/21x6C7F, and bookings must be made for the designated times listed above.

Due to Merton Council’s annual Fireworks Display and Funfair, please be aware of the following changes:

⚠️ Centre Closure: Saturday 7th November from 1.30pm.

🚗 Parking: Morden Park car park will be closed Friday 6th–Sunday 8th November. Alternative parking is available at Merton College from 3pm Friday (limited spaces, payment via the Evology app).

♿ Accessible parking bays outside the centre will be unavailable Saturday and are expected to reopen Sunday.

Please allow extra travel time and consider alternative transport.

Please be aware that the LBM Council Pay and Display car park may be busier than normal in the evenings during the Autumnfest event from 22nd-31st October.

The Event organisers are creating a specific car parking area for the event, therefore the Pay and display car park in Morden Park should not be affected greatly.

However, please be mindful to allow more time to park before your visit.

A huge well done to our lovely Assistant Manager Steph, who helped and supported others during our Restart a Heart pop-up at work last Friday, helping them learn and understand the importance of CPR! 👏

A huge well done to our lovely fitness instructor, who took part in our Restart a Heart pop-up at work on Friday and learnt how to perform CPR! 👏

Learning these life-saving skills can make such a difference, and you never know when you might need them. Every second counts!

Steps of CPR:

- Check for danger
- Call out “are you alright?”-check if their responsive
- Ask for “defibrillator, and an ambulance” as about to star CPR
- Check for breathing up to 10 secs
- 30 compressions
- 2 rescue breaths
- 30 compressions
