🚌 Changes to the Rushcliffe Villager and 747 bus services due to works on the A6097
On Monday 24 August we're starting works to widen the A6097 at the junction with Kirk Hill and East Bridgford Road.
Both Kirk Hill and East Bridgford Road will be closed for 12 months and this means that trentbartonland's Rushcliffe Villager will not be able to serve Shelford and Gunthorpe.
But don't worry because we're adding extra journeys onto the 747 Nottsbus Connect service, which is operated by the East Midlands Combined County Authority, to make sure that passengers in Shelford and Gunthorpe can continue to connect into Bingham, Radcliffe and Nottingham.
Here's what you need to know if you live in Shelford and Gunthorpe:
✅ If you're travelling into Bingham and Nottingham you will be able to board the 747 into Radcliffe on Trent and change onto either the Rushcliffe Villager or mainline service.
Here's what you need to know if you live in East Bridgford:
🚌 The Rushcliffe Villager will still serve East Bridgford but a different route will be in place.
⚠️ The service will follow the diversion route into and out of the village via Butt Lane, using Holloway Close to turn around.
🚗 Parking restrictions will be introduced on Holloway Close to allow buses to travel through safely and residents are advised that these restrictions will be in place 24 hours a day, seven days a week for the duration of the works at Kirk Hill. Existing parking bays on Holloway Close are unaffected by the restrictions.
✅ You will be able to hail the Rushcliffe villager in East Bridgford from anywhere along the Cross Lane and Holloway Close section of the route.
