Official Announcement: Standing for Town Ward 🇬🇧🗳️

It is my absolute privilege to confirm that I have officially signed the paperwork and will be standing as the Reform UK candidate for Town Ward in the upcoming by-election!

Having lived my entire life in Newcastle South, this area means everything to me. Town Ward holds a particularly special place in my story—it’s where I bought my very first house, and taking that first step onto the property ladder was the foundation for everything that followed.

My Priorities for Town Ward:

• Supporting First-Time Buyers & Young Families: Greatly reduce the amount of HMO's and back the next generation. Make Town an attractive, affordable, and welcoming place for young families to settle down and build a future.

• Tackling Residential Parking: Parking in our residential streets has become a massive daily headache. We need sensible, practical solutions that put residents first.

• Cleaning Up Anti-Social Behaviour & Crime: Anti-social behaviour and open drug use in our town centre and surrounding subways are completely unacceptable. Residents who have lived here for decades should never feel afraid to walk through their own town after dark.

A Resident First, A Politician Never 🛒🏛️

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I am not a career politician. I am a customer assistant at Lidl who just happens to be a passionate local councillor. I live in the real world, share your everyday frustrations, and work hard to get things done without corporate fluff or political games.

I am asking for your vote in Town Ward so I can continue to give our community a strong, unapologetic voice where it matters most.

Let's get to work! 🥂

A planning application for the Islamic Centre includes a proposed 13.5 metre brick minaret.

The Conservatives Local Plan says new development must respect the height, scale, character and street scene of the area.

We have serious concerns that a structure of this size and prominence would be out of keeping with the established built character of the Westlands.

We don’t believe the application in its current form should be approved.

The Westlands has three Conservative borough councillors - Simon Tagg, Mark Holland and Gill Heesom. Will they oppose the 13.5 metre minaret, or will they support it?

Conservative councillors in Newcastle-under-Lyme are asking council officers to DELAY the new Article 4 Direction.

The change would give communities and the council greater control over HMOs by requiring planning permission.

Labour and the Conservatives had years to get a grip on HMOs. They failed. We’re getting it done.

In under 100 days since Reform UK took control of Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council, we are acting to put communities back in control and deliver on the promises we made.

Reform UK councillors BLOCKED two new HMOs near Newcastle-under-Lyme town centre, supporting loc residents who also opposed it.

But that isn’t all your Reform UK led Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council is doing.

This autumn, our Article 4 Direction will take back control of HMOs, requiring them to go through the planning process and giving residents and councillors a proper say over what happens in their communities.
