Blakelaw and Cowgate Reform - Reform councillors fighting for for local residents!
"🎉 GREAT NEWS FOR BLAKELAW & COWGATE! 🎉
Your local councillors have secured an agreement with Newcastle City Council to fund our Welfare Rights Service, meaning this vital service will continue — but it will no longer have to be paid for from our ward budget.
That’s a double win.
✅ Our Welfare Rights Service continues.
✅ More of our ward budget can now be spent directly on Blakelaw and Cowgate.
And we want that money working in our community.
We’re inviting local community groups, charities and non-profit organisations within the Blakelaw and Cowgate ward boundaries to come forward and express an interest in receiving a grant.
Whether you have a new idea, an existing project that needs support, or something that could make a genuine difference to local residents, we want to hear from you.
Applicant organisations must be legally constituted and have a bank account in the organisation’s name.
💷 Minimum grant award: £150
To express an interest, please email one of your local councillors:

We’ve secured the funding to protect the Welfare Rights Service. Now we want to put more of your ward budget back where it belongs — supporting Blakelaw and Cowgate.'"
