Time to introduce Maverick the Phoenix. He has been voted the mascot of 1919 Newtownabbey Squadron, Royal Air Force Air Cadets. Maverick is an aviator with a need for speed & plans to pop up in exciting & unexpected areas of the world & maybe even space - eventually!!!

‘Bee together for people and the planet’. So only fitting on World Bee Day that the cadets of 1919 Newtownabbey, under the expert guidance of Keerthana from the Acre Project get their hands dirty planting pollinators.

We are pleased to announce following an interview with Officer Commanding Northern Ireland Wing, FS Armstrong has been promoted to the rank of Cadet Warrant Officer (CWO)!!

A first for 1919 in a number of years showing CWO Armstrong’s hard work and dedication to the squadron but also the wider organisation means she has now achieved the highest cadet rank in the organisation.

A massive congratulations to CWO Armstrong!
