Drones offer us safer alternatives to external work and working at height. At Surveying Cymru our pilots have all the qualifications needed for not just open, but specific operations. Jak Dargie, Chief Drone Operator is qualified with an A2CofC as well as a GVC which means that he operates to the highest standards and is constantly staying up to date with new regulations. Surveying Cymru has drone

s for every task, whether you require highly accurate footage, site progress monitoring or even great imagery, we can deliver it all using the latest photographic software. Using a drone allows us to reach heights never before possible and survey parts of your building that would only have previously been accessible via dangerous work at heights. Not only that, using a drone, certain tasks can be completed by just one operative, where other solutions may require many people on-site to safely carry out the data gathering. A roof survey for large commercial sites can take many weeks to complete with traditional methods, using drones we can have a turnaround time of fewer than 48 hours, including taking of and analysis of the footage, to delivering the results. Drain inspection and repair are vital services aimed at maintaining the functionality and integrity of your property’s drainage system. These systems play a critical role in the efficient removal of wastewater and the prevention of water-related damage to your home. Over time, drains can become susceptible to various issues such as blockages, leaks, and deterioration due to factors like age, usage, and environmental conditions.

Left unaddressed, these problems can escalate, leading to more significant issues such as foul odours, backups, and even structural damage to your property’s foundation or surrounding areas. If you suspect you may be experiencing any of these issues, please get in touch with our specialist team and we will arrange for inspection at your earliest convenience.

Spray Foam Insulation and Hidden Risks You Need to Know:

Spray foam insulation, once promoted as an energy-efficient solution, has recently become a significant concern for UK homeowners due to its impact on property transactions and structural integrity. Major mortgage lenders have been declining applications for properties with spray foam insulation, citing difficulties in assessing roof conditions and potential risks of timber decay from trapped moisture. This has left many homeowners unable to sell or remortgage their properties without first removing the insulation, a process that can be both challenging and expensive. Furthermore, improper installation can lead to issues like damp and mould. Given these challenges, Homeowners are therefore advised to exercise caution and seek professional assessments.

Surveying Cymru can help you identify the most effective solution for your home, ensuring you save the most money while improving energy efficiency and comfort from initial survey stage all the way through to removal if deemed necessary.

When it comes to purchasing, selling, or renovating a property, one of the most important steps you can take is to commission a chartered surveyor’s report. These reports offer a detailed, expert assessment of a property’s condition and value, helping you make informed decisions and avoid costly surprises down the line.

Types of Surveyor Reports:

We offer several levels of home surveys, each suited to different property types and client needs. The options are as follows:

RICS Condition Report (Level 1)

Ideal for newer properties or homes in good condition. This is the most basic report and includes a summary of condition and any risks or legal issues, but does not include advice or a valuation.

RICS HomeBuyer Report (Level 2)

Suitable for conventional properties in reasonable condition. It provides a more detailed assessment of a property’s condition, advice on repairs and maintenance, and may include a valuation.

RICS Building Survey (Level 3)

Best for older, larger, or non-standard properties, or if you’re planning major renovations. This is the most comprehensive report, including an in-depth analysis of the property’s condition, defects, and options for repair.

If you are interested in any of the above or require any further details, then please don’t hesitate to get in touch with the Surveying Cymru Team.
